I saw this exhibition at Kean University on Thursday (Dec 1) by Julie Oakes, Susan Collett, and Christian Bernard Singer. It is a small exhibition but with grate pieces, most of them were made out of paperclay and cement. They are both simple and breathtaking, plus it's a free exhibition and the public is welcome to visit. The exhibition is located at the Karl & Helen Burger Gallery and will open through December 20. I visited the Neue Galerie, a museum of German and Austrian art in Fifth Avenue, New York. It holds painting from the famous Austrian painter, Gustav Klimt, among other Germans and Austrian painters and designers. However, the reason for my visit to the Neue Galerie, was to see the famous painting of Gustav Klimt, " The Woman in Gold", a portrait of Adele Bloch. Yet, I encourage you to see the painting after you watch the movie, which shares the same name. The movie tells the story of Adele Bloch's niece, Maria Altmann, a Jewish during the heights of the Nazi government in Austria and how the painting came to be at the Neue Galerie. I believe that after watching the movie, you will appreciate more the history and beauty of such exquisite painting. This is the type of painting that must be seen in person, in order to appreciate its details and beautiful color. It will be an experience, like no other.
The Neue Galerie offers a free admission on the first Friday of each month, so go and experience the beautiful paintings that they have. **Have in mind that photographs of the paintings of their collections is allow**. Check their website for more information.
I took pictures, of the little shop inside the Neue Galerie with posters of previews exhibitions, as well as items that fulfill the needs of art lovers like myself.
At the underground level, there is a wall which features German advertisements and a replica of the painting of the "Woman in Gold", where you can take a quick picture.

Shakespeare Garden
I didn't spend much time in this part of the garden. Instead, I was attracted to the beautiful entrance of the fragrance garden and the different smells.

The fragrance garden was created in 1955 and was the first garden in the country specifically designed for the visually impaired
On Tuesday, I visited the Brooklyn Botanical Garden on one of the hottest and humid day of August. I got wet by the sprinklers which was both annoying and refreshing, I got to see the beautiful Japanese garden & Fragrance garden. Both of the gardens were located in the same area. If you are interested in visiting Brooklyn, stop by the botanical garden which is free all day on Tuesdays for a change of scenario. Here are some of the picture I took while there.
Japanese Garden
This garden was designed by Takeo Shiota and opened in 1915, becoming the first Japanese-inspired garden within an American public garden.
I love the little vendor shops set along the MET museum and central park. I took some pictures of the beautiful things that they were selling, as well as the walk we did inside the central park.
