My bedroom is small and I shared it with my brother, so when decorating and rearranging furniture it needs to be both functional and practical for the both of us. What we want to create is a room of comfort and practicality, which serves as both a small living room/bedroom/study room.
RELAXING
We need a space to relax and distress from our
everyday life. We currently have a sofabed, which
serves both as a couch for the day and a bed during the
night. I still want to bring more color and I think
that buying a cover will be a great way of doing this
without breaking my budget.
ORGANIZATION
Having a small room requires for you to use the space
efficiently and not fill it with unnecessary furniture.
We currently have a tall bookshelf in our bedroom, which
we got at Walmart and has been a great addition. We have
lots of books but it needs to be better organize, so I
research on Pinterest and I think I will do something
like this for the bookshelf.
DECORATING
We recently painted our room and I didn't want to
add anything to the walls until I figure out what
to put on them. I want to use the walls as extra space
and as a way of adding colors to the room by using
photographs and paintings.

I still don't know what I would do for our bedroom, but through my little research on Pinterest and Ikea, I'm closer to finding the perfect design to make our bedroom a comfortable and practical one.
Hope you have an awesome weekend!
My first formal experience as a Student Teacher was full of excitement and nervousness. However, I can't wait for the memories I'll make and the start of a journey of no return full of laughter, curiosity, nervousness, and excitement all mix together.
Taken by me , on the bus ride.
Taken by me, waiting for my second bus- titled "bus stop # 1
Last week, I started my first day as a Student Teacher. It was a rainy and gloomy day. It was raining too much for my like, but like the crossing guard said " flowers need a bit of shower sometimes" and I agree with him. The buses were late but I made on time by walking in a fast speed mode that was noticeable at the end of the day, when I couldn't walk properly. But, I don't want to make you think that this was a horrible experience, on the contrary, it was the best experience !
My cooperative teacher has two preschool classes, during the morning (8:30-11:10) and the afternoon (12:10-2:15) and I must say, "boy ! were they all different!". Preschoolers are the best of students. They are so curious about everything and eager to learn more everyday, and this is shown by their excitement the moment they enter the classroom. As one boy said " what are we going to learn today? I hope it's something fun!".
For the first two or three weeks, I will be observing my cooperative teacher's classroom routine and how she teaches the children and will then start my first lesson plan and teacher sample workshop, which is all part of my requirements for my Junior Practicum as the first step towards my bachelors.
My first lesson will be on October 10, I will make sure of sharing the process of creating my lesson plan and activities.
Hope you have a great week!
Yesterday was my first informal day as a student teaching and I got to learn a bit more of what goes on behind the scene. I helped out in the classroom and got to meet my cooperative teacher who was quite nice and informative. I'm both excited and nervous for this new experience but this is just one step that will take me closer to have my own classroom and students.
I will officially begin my junior practicum this upcoming Monday. My cooperative teacher asked me to write a "Meet the Student Teacher" letter , I did my search on Pinterest and went by these examples for a professional look for parents/guardians and for a fun one for the students.
You can found more tips of student teaching on this
blog. Although it's dated, it has a lot of information which is something that I need.
P.S- I will be writing more about my experience as a student teacher and post more pictures in the near future !
Hope you enjoy!
Today, I had the opportunity to visit this exhibition at the Karl and Helen Burger Gallery at Kean University. Here are some details about this exhibition and some photos that I took.
"An eclectic exhibition of little-known art of Northeast Brazil that tells the story of Brazil's history, traditions and culture." This exhibition will be open until October 20,2016, an admission-free and open to the public.
I really enjoy this small exhibition, I loved the art and sculptors, as well as the music and food provided at the event.
Hope you enjoy!
As I prepare myself mentally and physically for my first day of student teaching this upcoming semester, I decided to start looking at outfit ideas that are both formal and comfortable for the everyday work of a teacher.
Here are some of the outfits ideas, I have found on Pinterest that I think will go well with my color taste.
I leave you with these pictures and hope you can find some inspirations.
PS- I will be doing an everyday life of a student teaching once I start my experience. I think it will be of much help for those future teachers and for myself to look back at the things I did and learn from them.
Have an awesome day!
