Today was my last day as a student teacher. It has been such a great experience for me, I was received with open arms and guided throughout my time there. I couldn’t have asked for a better cooperative teacher, team, and children. I truly felt part of the team and the children were my students, just as I was their teacher. I was able to learn about each of the student individually and as a group. I was able to learn about my weakness and strengths and how things work in the system. I learned that not everything will go as planned and sometimes it will make for a great lesson and sometimes it won’t.
My advisor was such a great mentor and guide throughout this process. Always encouraging and helping me succeed in turning my weakness into strengths. Now I must move on and I had to say bye to the school that took me in and treated me like their own. I will miss them dearly but a new experience, school, cooperative, and students wait for me and I’ll ask God is for this to be an amazing experience as well.
This is an example of what I gave the teachers at my school. I made a personalized card with these chocolates filled with caramel (they are delicious). Small gifts like this will be really appreciated and it's just a small gift for amazing individuals who made this experience a joyful and learning one.
I hope you have enjoy this series. I will be writing more about my student teaching experience during the Spring semester.
